Drumroll, please! I'm absolutely delighted to announce the release of my newest collection of art. My brand new series of thirty Mitchell Leafscapes has evolved over the past four or five years. I've truly enjoyed working with oil paints again after decades of doing landscapes exclusively with pastels.
These Mitchell Leafscapes feel more alive to me than my plain oils: they shimmer differently in every lighting situation or as you walk past them. The colors of the metal leaf glow or go dark, and easily reflect the subtlest ambient light. I've chosen copper for its rich warm tones and aluminum for the bright vibrant shine of this non-tarnishing metal leaf. Both are varnished to avoid changes from the environment over time. I'm thrilled to be sharing them with you!
