Montana de Oro
original pastel 8 x 12
Sure, flowers are dandy and chocolates are a decadent treat. However,
if you want to show your affection for someone special, give something
that will last for years, original art.
I've added fifteen paintings to my Valentine Gems page. These are all
smaller very affordable unframed pastels done on location or as student
demos. Check them out here: Valentine Gems

This inviting autumn river scene was a delight to paint with sun
sparkles dancing across the water. I think pastels are a natural to

This is a plein air pastel I did last autumn along the California coast
above Bodega Bay. You could tell that the barns and massive old trees
have stood up to decades of battering from ocean storms.

three-dimensional terrain of the land.
