An Exciting Fall Season Is Taking Shape!
I am really looking forward to participating in a major group show
later this year called "Northern California Impressionism." The
exhibition will be on display at the Peninsula Museum of Art in
Burlingame, CA, from October 30 through January 8. I hope you can join
me for two important events related to the show. One is the opening
reception on November 6 from 2 to 4 p.m., and the other is a demo I'll
be doing with my friend and fellow artist Paul Kratter on November 13.
For more info, check the museum's website at peninsulamuseum.org.

And speaking of demos, I'm also teaching quite a few workshops
throughout the Fall, which always include demos. The Morro Bay Art
Association has invited me to teach a two-day workshop at Art Center
Morro Bay on
October 28 and 29. The theme is "Enliven Your Landscapes With A Vibrant
Underpainting," and it should be lots of fun. And just as I did
throughout the spring and summer, I'm offering an array of one-day
workshops out of my studio every other week. They're a great way to
explore the pastel medium and to learn more about landscape painting,
both on site and in the studio. Please visit my website,
cgmitchell.com, for all the details on these workshops!
