Four Art Events to Light Up January!

January can sometimes seem like a dreary month, especially after the excitement of the holidays, but I've got four special events that I'd like to invite you to attend.

Dawn's Early Light,

The first is an art auction that I just want to share with you. Works of Heart is the annual fundraiser for the

Jewish Community Free Clinic (JCFC), an ongoing health clinic for the uninsured in Sonoma County. But the $75 tickets for this brunch and auction on January 29 in Sebastopol sell out quickly, so get yours soon:

Winter has a special beauty all its own, and I'm celebrating the season's special qualities with a group show called "Colors and Shapes of Winter." The exhibition is on view at Gallery One in Petaluma only until February 23, and you're invited to attend the opening this Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The gallery is located at 209 Western Ave. in Petaluma.

Yosemite Thaw,

Southern Californians are invited to the Randy Higbee Gallery for the closing celebration of 6" Squared this Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. It's a great exhibition of small works, all 6 x 6" in size. The gallery is located at 102 Kalmus, Costa Mesa.

Those of you in the San Rafael area this month are invited to stop by the Bartolini Gallery for a group exhibition called Marin Pastels. I'm delighted to be showing six of my pastel paintings along with pastel works by several other talented, local artists in this exhibition running through March 24. Bartolini Gallery is located at 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael.
