Out in the desert, the early morning light reveals a completely different side of the landscape—a side that's cool and calming. I used many of the blues, purples, pinks, and other cool tones in my box of pastels to recreate this serene and fleeting moment. This was inspired by an early morning walk out into the desert around Borrego Springs, California.
