I've gone out to Hawaii to compete in the Maui Plein Air Invitational several times, and this landscape was one of many that I completed while there. I loved capturing the luxurious colors of this vibrant place. Surprisingly, this is a view from a parking lot in downtown Lahaina. I was able to stand in the shade as I painted.
