This lush pastel was done as part of the third Morgan Hill Plein Air Invitational in 2024. Oleanders were in full, glorious bloom the week of the event and I found this scene heading south out of town showing three different colors of the blossoms. The last of the day's sunshine was still warming the upper slopes of the background hills.
How fortuitous that the full moon rose as I was painting!
