Inspired by a "Cocktail Cruise" during a Baja, Mexico, vacation, this oil exemplifies the cooling heat of the day shimmering off blue waters. I found the easiest way to portray the setting sun was to use copper and composition gold leaf, solid across the sky, and rippling in patterns across the water.
Painted colors extend around the unframed canvas.
